Anyone being paid to fly a drone needs to be an approved operator with a CAA Permission. This ensures the operator of the drone has the necessary flying skills, knows the safety rules and has insurance. The operator will have attended a specific training course to obtain all the skills and knowledge necessary.

In addition to being approved by the CAA with Permission and operational authorisation for Commercial Operations, UKPDRA-01, PfCO. CAA i/d UAS9979. I also have an additional training qualification award for Commercial Drone Pilots, TQUK level 4 award (RQF)

CAA UKPDRA-01, GVC Qualified.

Approved operators will know what is and isn't possible to safely achieve with a drone. Each job is unique and different in requirements, the UK Civil Aviation Authority has certain rules which each drone operator has to comply with, including, if required by law in certain types of airspace, permission from Air Traffic Control, a full risk assessment, full comprehensive insurance which complies with UK CAA for drone operations including full public liability cover.

As a guide on pricing, £90 to £490, for up to one day photography or video, depending on the nature and complexity of the subject.
